Southside Medical Center is a Jacksonville primary care clinic dedicated to practical, personal, and dependable medical care. Our physicians and staff help patients with routine visits, chronic medical conditions, preventive care, medication management, and everyday health concerns in a setting that is welcoming, organized, and easy to understand. At SMC, we believe good primary care should feel familiar, professional, and centered on helping each patient take the next right step toward better health.

We decided not to call this page “About Us” or even “Our Story.” We decided to think of it as “Your Story,” because the most important story at Southside Medical Center has always been the story of the patient who walks through our door.
Southside Medical Center was built around a simple idea: medical care should feel personal, respectful, and understandable. A patient should not leave the office more confused than when they came in. They should feel heard. They should understand what is happening with their health. They should know what the next step is and why it matters.
Our clinic is led by Dr. Harold Laski and Dr. Thomas Murray, two experienced physicians who believe that good medicine begins with listening. Every patient brings more than symptoms. They bring concerns, questions, family responsibilities, fears, habits, hopes, and sometimes a long history of being rushed through medical visits. We try to do things differently.
At Southside Medical Center, we focus on practical, compassionate primary care. That means helping patients manage everyday medical problems, chronic conditions, preventive care, medications, follow-up visits, and the many small health questions that can become big worries when no one takes the time to explain them clearly.
We believe patient education is part of treatment. When you understand your condition, your medications, your test results, and your options, you are in a better position to take care of yourself. We want our patients to feel informed, supported, and confident, not overwhelmed.
Our goal is not just to treat illness. Our goal is to help people live better, safer, healthier lives with care that feels human.
